2010 Vfr

Hi,

forgive me if this question has already been asked? i was reading some where on the net that some Honda owners think the new 2010 VFR800 that is being design at the moment, maybe a big revamp of the current model, they think Honda may up the cc to 1000? and possibly make it more on the sports side of things and redesign the clutch/gbox and vtec to take the punch out of it, coz of corning under throttle, I thought this website would be a good place to ask around if anybody has heard anything? and what they have heard?

There has been countless threads on this site about the future VFR. But it's all been speculation and photoshopped photo's. Alot of people seem to think that the VFR is well over due for an overhaul.

Im praying that they up the Engine Capacity to 1000+cc. I love everything about my '08, just lacks power. Some more torque at lower revs would be nice IMO. I think Honda has stuck with a smaller capacity engine to keep fuel consumption to down to extend the range of the fuel tank. After all it's supposed to be a sports/Tourer. But I've noticed that larger capacity engines aren't always thirstyier. I guess alot depends on how the bike is set up (gear ratios etc).

But I guess in you up the cc's you're just getting closer to a ST 1300?

 

I was lurking around over in some European sites and now the french are calling out a 1000cc v4 that looks like the CBR street fighter they have, so Hmmm.. pretty sketchy

This is it. I swear I heard it from MR. Honda himself. Well......maybe a guy I know knows a guy who heard of guy that knows a guy who's sister dated a guy. But he swears this is it!!!dam it

if Honda doesn't come through this might be the next generation v4 without a Honda badge LOL

Found this interesting and spooky at the same time...as Honda has another V4 machine in mind, looks to be along the same lines as that DN01. So maybe Jason knows something we don't Huh?

Fugly..........yes! That pic is majorly photoshopped! I really don't think we'll have a clue what the next gen VFR will look like until Honda unveils it at a bike show.

Ya... glad i dint make the trek to Seattle show in all that bad weather. a big disappointment, Aprilia's new machine was a no show. i wonder how many limbs they want for one of those
