I ordered my new VFR this past Tuesday the 10th and I got the call yesterday afternoon that my bike was already in and put together. My wife and I headed to the dealership to do all the paperwork and pay the balance due. I waited until this morning to pick it up since it was going to be near 70 degrees today. My sales guy was Austin At Fay Myers Honda which is in the Denver area. He was great to deal with. He had my bike all cleaned, gassed and ready to go. I also had him install the seat cowl and remove the grab handles since I will be riding solo 99.9% of the time. I was able to get just over 100 miles on it today. i got the hair dryer out and was able to get the tank stickers off with no problems at all. This is the first Pearl White I had seen in the sun light. It looks stunning I must say. I delivered my 2007 VFR to my buddy on Tuesday night. He is as happy with his 2007 as I am with my new 2014.

    This is my new ride.

Dave, I will have to take a rain check. I have some family stuff I have to take care of on Sunday. Monday I go shooting all day,Tuesday I will ride all day,Wednesday I work in a gun shop all day. Retired life is great! No idea how I ever had time to work a real job.

No worries, just wanted to throw it out there just in case. I'm sure we'll go on plenty of rides in the coming months.

as rare as they are, those phone calls from the dealer are the best part of a good day. Congrats on the new bike! There's one white 2014 left sitting in about an hour from my house. I'd be on it in a second if I could get myself to sell my RWB 07, now that I finally got it just right. Hope you get time to ride the new toy, you know, with your tough schedule and all....:smile-new:

The 2014 in white is gorgeous. My dealer has one, but I am resisting the urge. I've got a lot of miles on the '07 RWB and have all of the bugs sorted out like REEK. Congratulations.

THAT is a pretty motorcycle that is entirely suited to its intended purpose.

I particularly like what Honda did with the swingarm / chain guard, but the rest is nice too.

I'm using HP4S for anything over 600 miles. There are likely better products on the market, but I do oil + honda OEM filter every 3000 miles and HP4S meets specs and is relatively cheap.

Bikes dont really need good oil, or even clean oil. So when you change the oil in your cage just keep it and use that in the bike......its good enough.....

this bike feels like money. when i got my money back from the tuono, i shopped across the new ninja 1000 and the yammy fj-09. both were good bikes and have the paper advantage on the viffer 800, but they just didn't look or feel as well-built or solid, and GODDAM SON you can't beat a v4's sound.

i don't have the skillz to make a 10-20 hp rwhp advantage count on the street or the canyons, but i sure do appreciate killer fit-and-finish and the full monty of options on the honda.
