+25 hp d-boost

i found a chip on e-bay supposed to give 15-35hp gains this seems unreal anyone have any info

 

just ask does not seem possible to me but figure someone here should know

Welcome sandstrike! There is a post about those things somewhere on VFRWorld. They are apparently cheap electronic gadgets that do something, but its not 15-35HP or whatever they claim.

 

for those wondering if you go to top search bar and put hp gains it will pull up something like what i seen

If it works, why haven't we read about it in Popular Mechanics or in some credible source that could provide unbiased results?

If you are curious, buy it. Measure performance before and after and share your results (both good and bad) with the forum in the review section.

Otherwise, I would suggest you save your money for some other modifications that have been validated by others.

100% BS,these chips are connected only on O2 ant Temp.sensor so they give fake O2 signal.The only chip performance upgrade are control units connected between ECU and injectors,like PC

 

You guys are crazy! It works great. Its almost as good as the muffler bearing upgrade and an ultra slick chrome reverse modification.:rofl:

I've sat in Mazda's and VW's with chips in and the do give a greater bhp how ever chips (normaly in cars anywhy) act like a remaper, Getter bhp down low smaller bhp top end thats cars not sure about bikes......

Anyhow hope that helps you abit, and after lookin on ebay myself for items for VFR 800's for £30 I mite just give it a go when im up and at it again.

 

If your bike was running so lean that it was down 15% on horsepower, it might restore your horsepower to what it should have been to begin with, and maybe pick up another 1 - 2%...

I am being more than 50% of a smartass here... When you think about these kinds of claims, perspective is everything. If a particular motorcycle is running really lean in the low RPM range, say 2000 - 3000, and is only making 20 HP, a 15% increase would be 3 HP. That would possibly be feasible at a particular RPM on a particular motorcycle at a particular altitude etc., etc.

What these sort of advertisements fail to mention is the negative impacts it will have on fuel mileage, driveability, carbon buildup, and all the other associated ills that accompany running too rich of a fuel mixture. And again, that HP increase that they claim is not valid through the entire RPM range. So save your money.

 

i finally got one and put on my r6 when i flip switch you can tell a noticeable diff will know more wed night going to dyno it on and off

 

Your not being a smart ass what u say is true I wouldnt say 15% more bhp but id say atleast 6 to 8 and as you allso say the more power the more the problems, ive allways been very worried and turning anything that a company like HONDA have spent years making go the best they can.... All so on another point the Pair Valve Blockoff mod that ive been reading all day seams to me a bad idea but id like your feedback on it????
