    Hello all.

I have a 3rd Gen VFR (1992!). Got a pretty sweet deal on it, but it needed a lot of love.

It has definitely been crashed before, and it would appear that the previous owner not only crashed it more than once, but painted the front fairings white! I'm not particularly thrilled with all the damage and the rattlecan paint job. I looked into getting new fairings for it, but the local junkyard says those are usually the first things to go. I looked into buying new fairings, but only one company made replacements. That company was Airtech, but they've gone out of business, and their website 404's.

What should I do? What options are left for us poor 3rd Gen VFR owners???

    ~Anakin

BUT... most everything is "repairable", you just gotta have skill and money. More money if your skill reserves are low.

Keep scouring ebay for pieces that need less work than yours. There are very few really nice pieces still floating around, but they do come up every now and then. Be ready and be packin' $$$.
