Hello, I have a 31k mile, red 5th gen VFR and just got back from a 1500 mile trip to Maggie Valley, NC.

Following the semi-uncomfortable trip, I noted I will be looking for the following touring mods:
    1. touring windscreen
    2. lowered pegs
    3. helibars
    4. Kaoko/Throttlemeister throttle lock

I have an OEM 2001 seat (already have Sargent) that could be involved in a trade if the right deal came along, otherwise, please let me know if anyone has some items like this for sale.

    Thanks!

Hey there. I'm doing what you are doing with a 1999 VFR, it's all stock and I'm adding some comfort mods. I ordered the Hurricane handlebar kit from webike.net in Japan and I think it might move the handlebars too far up and back for me. I'm 6'4 and after I lowered my footpegs and put a Corbin on the bike the reach to the bars in the stock position feels pretty good so I am thinking of selling this handlebar kit. Let me know if this is of any interest. A google search for hurricane vfr pipe handlebar kit will retrieve the the information on it. New in the box and half the price of helibars.

Thanks for reaching out! Those look really nice, but I would imagine I would need longer cables and such where with the Helibars, stock cables work. I think I will stick with those if I can find them. Hopefully you can find someone for your Hurricane kit!

What model of hurricane bars? I see they have some that are 60mm up and 50mm back and use the stock cables.

My hurricane bars are designed to use the stock cables and are the 60mm up and 50mm back version. They are new in the box if anyone is interested in them.
