I am looking at buying a front stand for my centerstand equipped 06 VFR for storage and occasional brake work and have two questions.
    1. Are there any headlift stands that are VFR compatible. I have read that many models have VFR clearance issues and need mods to work.
    2. Are any of the lesser price front stands (Trackside, Blackwidow, ect.) reliable and recommendable?

Don't know anything about stands or the answers to your questions.
What I use is the rear stand from my old gixxer, and a steel rod through the axle holes when I need to do front-end work on mine. It's cheap and it works as intended.

As ghetto as it sounds I just put weight on the rear of the bike to tilt the front up when it's on the centre stand while I work on the front end.

For storage, stands are really not necessary unless you plan to store over half a year or so. Extremely unlikely for tires to get flat spots. You can also rotate the front wheel now and then if you're worried.

Ya That. Or some blocks of wood beneath the forward portion of the underside. This would be a bit more stable than the weight idea I think. But if it world for ya, who am I to say better. But I think Expvet is quite interested in getting a stand. Sorry, I can't help with what may be good. there Expvet
