Salutations! I'm currently sitting in a train taking me 500 kilometers away from the safety of my home. The purpose of this journey is to tighten my experience as a biker in form of an upgrade of my bike. Kawasaki ER-5 is history and VFR 750 F is awaiting to be ridden to its new home. I'm young and reckless with very little knowledge as how to carry myself in a respectful fashion but I believe one day the VFR will learn to call me master. I've got an average life span mostly ahead of me so a risk is foolishly taken with a 22-year-old bike still counting its kilometers just slightly after 100 000. Trust is founded on the words of others yet my vision is clear of doubt. Excitement and joy will have multiplied after a succesful trip across the various landscapes of Finland. With the sun shining from the left I expect a fully enjoyable ride to remember. Hi, I'm Johannes, Bachelor of Civil Engineering, that is, after 3 years of studying. Edit: 330 kilometers homeward and I've paused for a burger. No aches other than throttle thumb. Excellent mpg, the machine's superb! Torque so much I've lost count on overtakes. A steady race against the clock as the sun thrives to set before I've completed my mission. Soon I will be speeding on the tarmac again... Made it home safe and sound, probability zero of a ticket inbound. Edit2: Checked valve clearances, last one recorded to have been done 50 000 km ago. None of them required adjusting. V4 demands a little more work in comparison to an inline equivalent but I really believe it's worthwhile.
Hi Johannes. Great to have you here. I hope you are still hanging around and making yourself at home. Sorry that you were missed, sometimes threads get buried before they are seen. :vtr2:
