'84 VF750 mirrors compatible on a '84 VF500?

    Update! problem solved...the 750's fit, and found a pair of 500's.

    curious if anyone knows...

    i have an '84 VF500 and broke a mirror while in storage...have a feed on someone with a pair in excellent shape off an '84 VF750.

    the connection area seems different betweeen the two models...are the 750's compatible with the 500?
    they look like they'd fit, but don't want to buy them as no return policy...

    any info, much appreciated.
