Plan on replacing my temp sensor today, so will be draining the coolant. I am unable to locate my manual for the bike so I am unsure what kind of coolant the bikes takes, anyone have any info on this? Or a download location for 86 vfr user/service manual?

Probably no need to drain coolant to replace temp sender ( not thermoswitch) cuz it's way up top, and you won't lose more than a few oz of coolant.

Use any antifreeze/coolant that's OK for aluminum engines, 50% coolant/50% distilled water.
