Hey all, just got a '91 VFR750F. Started looking into front and rear stands. While checking out the front end of my new used bike, it seems the bottom triple clamp is kind of wimpy. Also, the horn looks like it'll get in the way of a front stand's pin. Which got me to wondering about swapping the whole kit and kaboodle. I'm sure it's been done before. Anybody know if there are any bikes that can directly donate the headset, triple clamps, fork tubes, etc. without any machine-shop excursions? I suppose the brakes and wheel have to change, too...I dunno, maybe just having Race Tech do the emulator thing....Suggestions?

Do a search for USD Conversion.

I used RC51 SP1 upper and lower triples, with an extra seal thrown on the bottom to take up a little slack.

Easiest package is the entire front end from a 929/954. Wheel to clamps.

Me, I went with the 2000 R1 gold forks with new valving, spring and oil, R1 calipers, R1 fender. Looks and acts totally different. Of course, while I was at it, new clip-ons, master cyliners, and hoses. Replaced 2 row cooler with 3 from 86 model. Horn ditched in favor of dual Fiamms on a new relay.

Just an idea. For lots of details, go over to VFRD and search as well.
