After cleaning the inside of the tank on my "98 VFR, I thought I'd replace the fuel filter that attaches to the fuel pump. Local dealer lists the price as $61. Checked Bike Bandit on-line and they want $58. Anyone know of a less expensive alternative ? The thing is made from steel and has male hose nipples at either end ( just like the kind you see in an auto parts store for under $10).

BIKE BANDIT has the HIGHEST prices of anyone on line!!!!
    Go to JPcycles dot com.

I just go the the auto parts store and get a fuel filter and paint it black.
Costs me $6.00 NOT $61.00!!!!! cheeeesssshh!

All the car and hot rod stuff is cheap.
I wanted a LED taillight and all the websites wanted $70 and UP!!
I went online to lights for school buses and they had lots of LED tailights and parts and it was like $19.00 for a LED tail light. You can just gut them and use the internal parts etc.,.

Some things are getting crazy - like $100.00 for every item.

actaully it's a plain steel housing with 5/16 o.d. hose bibs on either end. I found one that was just a little smaller overall in an auto parts store for $6.

    Thanks for all the replys.

    filter

my local Checker/orielly's has a rebuildable filter that fits in stock location and has multiple hose nipples for different diameter lines. Mr. Gasket? maybe. fit right in.
    best part-$10.
