99 vfr800 fork size (mm) help

    hey guys I need some help...


    what size fork tube are on a 99 honda vfr800, I want to install GenMar Bar risers

    anyone have these on there bike, if so was it an easy install, are new cables required, was it worth it???

    5 Gen (1998-2001) is a 41mm fork. Depending on how high the risers are, you may need longer cables or have to rotate the banjo bolts, which require the banjo stays on the master cylinder to be cut off. At least that's the way the installation goes with Heli-bar installs.

    hi thanks for the reply...

    My understanding is that there is NO cable modifications at all required when using these "GenMar Bar risers"

    Sounds right, Heli-bars have a rise and pull back some, hence the need of longer or rotated cables.
    Can't comment on the Gen Mars, but I like the Heli-bars on my 09.

    Genmar is only rise about 1" so no need reroute the cable.........Carry on mate
