Haven't got my service manual yet, trying to figure how adjust the Idle. I know it has cables down to left side of the throttle body, where it converts to drive by wire. It was late, so I didn't want to start taking off left side cowls, so has any one done this yet? (lifted the tank, but not accessible).

BTW, has any noticed that idle increases 200 rpm as you pull the clutch in?

First off, no need to remove anything to get to it. It's a black knob on the left side, up and to the left of the clutch slave cylinder (proper setting is 1200 +/-100 rpm) . Second, it is not ride by wire...standard twin cable from the throttle to the throttle body. Lastly, the idle increases as you let the clutch out. It's meant to help you take off without stalling it. You can check it the next time you're stopped at a light...just let clutch out a little and pull it back in.

Thanks, idling about 1800 then increase to 2000 rpm when I let clutch out. Will adjust tomorrow. Don't know where I got the idea about the ride by wire, in some bogus article.

I was thinking of the VFR1200, which does have drive by wire, and uses traditional cables to a transition unit.

Thanks again, found the knob and adjusted idle. It was getting hot at long lights out here in CA. On my 03, it was on the right side.

PS: Went for a ride, much better, ran a lot cooler in traffic.

It also worked for my 2015 Crossrunner. Thanks a lot!
