Does anyone have any advice on: the best place to buy a VFR (dealer vs private); the things I should look for or be weary of (like year, sign of abuse, signs from the seller, etc); Any help would be appreciated.
Brandon,dude; Buy a used VFR privately. Purchase new from a dealer, and you are gonna get hosed on a 2007-2009 bike that hasn't changed since 2002!!!! What to look out for: -Stretched chains with blown fork seals, oil dripping from the exhaust, and mileage over 200,000 miles........Seriously, other than obvious signs of abuse don't worry.......be happy.
Amen, Brothers! I saved 42% buying used vs. new, AND I got the exact color I was looking for. It does require more work (searching, negotiating, transportation), but 7 grand is nothing to scoff at. PLENTY to spend on farkles (see sig), and still lots after that to throw back in the account.
