Air Box question??

On my 85 VF500F's air box on the bottom there is two ports that stick out. On the Left side there is a tube that is clamped on and runt to the back of the bike but the rear break pedal. On the Right there is nothing. Are these just drains? Is there suppose to be a air line on the Right side as well? Tried looking at friends and his just has the 2 ports with no tubes attached to either. Any help or pics would be great.

One is a drain, other goes to crankcase breather. Lacking those tubes, the holes should be plugged up so unfiltered air won't enter.
