SauL: I have just returned to riding a motorcycle for the first time in 16 years or so. Being rusty, and at 61 years of age I might be a little foolish, even stupid. But, as I'm getting no younger, and love to ride, It's a choice I've made while I'm still capable of doing so. My bike is a used version ( only one owner ) VFR1200f 2010. And it is a stunner, show room quality and never been dropped, though that could change with me on the foot pegs ha ha. It has no luggage, so is a stock bike with the standard exhaust system. Though I'm hoping to get a noisy can at some time in the future. The colour is that rich burgandy red lustre, so beautiful. It rides like a dream. And so powerful but usable power, not in your face power. So, hello to everyone. Saul signing off.

Hi Scott, you live in a nice part of the World, I passed through Lincoln many years ago and went over the single span bridge which was iconic at the time.

yes Lincoln is nice but I have only been to it a couple of times as we moved here from Essex 26 months ago and little did we know how much work the house needed doing, the previous owners were complete wankers when it came to house maintenance, used to live in this area 'when I were a lad' in the early 60's as my old my old man was in the RAF

Hello Scott, I take it you're about my age, as I grew up in the sixties. Hope you renovate your house ok. Are you far from Cadwell Park Race Track?

    Welcome.

From what I saw when the wife and I toured over there several years ago, home construction there puts North American construction to shame. I was struck my the absolute abundance of homes that I am sure were well over 150 years old. Ours over here are rally built to last about 75 years at which time they are usually bull dozed down and another crappy home is built, or a new more densely populated structure is built.

My house just previous to this one, was built by someone from Europe. That was a well built house. His trades followed his work ethic, or they lined up and followed the un-employment lines. This one, built by home grown locals, was a piece of shit when I bought it new. Took a few years, but I fixed their poor craftsmanship pretty good and it is a reasonable house and property now.

BT W. 63 1/2 years old here and still riding upright most of the time.
