So in observance of you guys that are snowed in and the 50=50 chance that I am gonna be one of those that are not able to ride in the wintertime next year. her are some pictures of my little excursion today... It would have been longer but I had to be home to pick up the little one from school. The ride started out on 154 (again) and I rode up to the top of painted cave and took some pictures and farted around a bit. as you can see from the pictures, the sun is out and it was a beautiful Feb. day here in SoCal (not a Snowflake or rain drop in sight) the pictures looking out over thcoast has the Channel Islands in them. These Islands are pretty much an Archeologists dream.. they have all kinds of cool remains on them including the Pygme Mammoth ( Pygmy Mammoths Discovered on Pacific Island Pacific Island National Parks ) was found out on one of them...pretty cool top think how the little guy got out there since the Islands are a (few ) miles off shore. Plus there are some Chumash Indian remains sites out there. any way enjoy....

I twas a quick trip...about an hour or soout and an hour back... I rode "old san Marcus rd. that thing is total curves some even had 340 degree turns it dumps out into a nieghborhood but it was fun tooling down that one. one of the local dudes at the gas station said that its even more fun going "up " it instead of down it.

Same route I took back from lunch with my wife a couple weeks ago on the V12. ...such a great stretch of road, and without all the traffic of the Santa Monica Mts.. :)

    Great pics, thanks!!!

Bastard, we may have a blanket of snow in Denver that's a foot or more, but it is -3f...so we got that going for us. Thanks for thinking of us.

I'm glad my great-grandfather left Russia, but why couldn't he have pushed a little further on to California?
