We always talk about how bullet proof these engines are especially after the camshaft crisis of the early eighties was over. After 1985 when the first real VFR hit the streets (much to the joy of all) has anyone seen or heard of a V4 dropping a valve or needing rings or rod and crank bearings? I have not, but then again it has been a long time since I wrenched professionally on bikes.
