I'm stealing a pic here from the Convertibar Install thread:

    http://vfrworld.com/forums/modifications/25708-convertibar-install-pics.html

In the first pic, there's a cap over the tube (steering tube? What's the right terminology?) behind the key. My new '07 didn't come with this cap. Should it have? Is it available through normal parts sources? Anybody got the part number?

I thought of just putting a cork in it, but I think I'd rather have the proper cap.

    Thanks, all.

The proper term is a "Steering Stem Cap." I'd ask if any members have one that they are not using before spending $10 on one. I removed mine a couple of years ago since I have a GPS stem mount that fits in the opening and I would have given it to you but I can't remember what I did with it. Several other forum members have removed theirs and put a power supply in the opening so you may luck out and find someone who won't mind giving you their cap.

You can order it from http://www.servicehonda.com/parts.html for about $10.

The local hardware stores have those neat bins with caps that you maybe able to get one to fit in there.
