Can anyone give me a rough mileage count at which starter valves need to be synced.
I have no issues but just wondering.
Do you always need to sync starter valves at some point?
    Thanks

In my own experience these tend to drift out of whack very slowly, and have an impact mainly on steadiness of idle and off-idle smoothness. Whether you need or want to adjust them will depend on you...if you suffer from mechanical OCD (must be set correctly at all times, like me) you will buy some gauges and DIY every 5000km. On the other hand, you may leave them alone until the rideability suffers, and only then take it to a shop for some love. The service manual is silent on a recommended frequency, but does specify doing other related parts at 13000km intervals.

definitely whenever you do a valve lash adjustment because the two affect each other.

otherwise, only when you're not happy with how the bike starts and idles, and how it comes up off of idle.
