The parts look top notch to me, but I'd have to see them without the packaging.

shoot, that was for the carb kits? I just ordered a set thinking "that's a fair price with a good return policy".

In all seriousness, I did order a set for my recent purchase of a 93 VFR I need to freshen up. I have ordered from this company many times in the past and their carb kits are pretty good. I've used their stuff when I restored a 92 GSXR, 93 ZX7, 94 ZX7 and used their carb kits also on my FZR1000 and 01 ZX7R. All very good results and about on par with the keyster/K&L rebuild kits. I've used a few of their master cylinder kits as well but I think they were the K&L kits they shipped. I'll report back if there's any surprises with the VFR rebuild kit.

I bought a float valve set for my 93 VFR from this company off Ebay. They are in Canada. The 1st set sent to me was off, way off. 2nd attempt on the purchase was to reference the ebay link posted on this thread.

I got the 4 items yesterday 7-3-12 . On comparison and re-assemble the Keyster units are stamped the same as the stock unit @ 2.4. However the Keyster needle jet is slightly smaller, as is the fuel intake inlet of the seat.

If I put the new needle in the old seat there is side to side slop. My guess (without a measurement tool) is the stock needle shaft is .5 to 1 mm bigger than the replacement part.

I have never used anything other than identical matched parts. So I don't know if this is going to be an issue.
The carbs have been sonic cleaned and look brand new. It won't be for another month or so till I get to the bike as it is sitting 400 miles from where I am staying.

Since the parts are discontinued from Honda, I have not much of an option unless another foreign source comes up. The price of the 4 items was cheap, $7.50 each. But its not clear if they will work within spec. Best to consult a carb expert on this. This week I will ship my OEM part to them and ask them to look at it.

I never did get back to this thread. When I ordered my set from them, they sent 94-97 bowl gaskets. But they immediately corrected that for me. I ended up not needing the float needles or seats because mine were still in great shape so I never did play around with the ordered parts. I'll have to take a look at them later, I have a spare 93 carb sitting around I'll pull apart to compare the OEM vs Keyster. I would guess as long as the float needle fits in the matching float seat, the opening being a little smaller shouldn't impede gas flow. Interesting though.

    What about the needle length?

i would recommend not to mix the new needle with the old seat--replace the old seat and use the new parts. The 2.4 marking is the rate in cc/min that orifice will flow. The main issue to watch is the length of the needle such that it will shut off the flow at the correct fuel level in the bowls. The OP has a lot of experience with flooding due to incorrect needle length.

Of course squirrel didn't mean twice to the same girl, just that he used that line several times to get the girls to give him access to the fun zones...
