Yep. Heading down from DFW Wednesday. Doing the Riders for Health VIP day on Thursday. Will be in the paddock most of the weekend chugging cold ones and hanging out in Colin's garage when I can. Can't wait. Best week of the damn year!

We rented the same house as last year 5 minutes from the track on the East Side. We'll be partying it up every night!

 

Yep. Went last year and had reserved seats in Turn 15. Going general admission with a lawn chair this year.

Staying at La Quinta in San Marcos so I'm not in the mess near Austin.

Got turned on to this by a real live (then) born and bred Texan who as a kid listened to the Tom Mix radio show. This was the theme song.

 

I would go but I used up all my "fun money" tripping last weekend. It was good though!

 

Too much tripping causes flashbacks that can be unpleasant and expensive.

 

I'll take a motorcycle trip flashback any day. Expensive yes. Unpleasant no.

 

Expensive? Naa.. A couple of hundred miles from the Dallas area to Austin and 59 pesos to get in and another ten pesos to park your bike.?

A few bucks for grub if you are averse to armadillo roadkill instead of Egg McMuffins and
a few bottles of Big Red I would have to call that in refined terms, parsimonious.

I even bet the other dudes might even offer a couple of hots and a cot so long as you don't snore too loudly or fart every time you turn over.

Headed to Austin COTA Friday with a Honda 3 day package.

 

Post pics please guys. And dont forget to rub it in since Ill be in Mexico. Had tickets from a friend at turn 15. Id have him sell/give them away but he is also coming to Mexico with me. Something about misery and company comes to mind.

I was really close to buying a plane ticket out that way, but then I remembered I had a certification course for work on Saturday and the timing with flights just don't work out. Maybe next year.

That track looks like one hell of a facility on tv. I'd love to visit.
