Bar End Question....Need help!!

Okay, I have a 02 VFR. I bought it with Throttlemiesters. I took those off and sold them since I never used them. I bought new bar ends to install and I figured easy deal, slide them in and screw to tighten. Well my left one has the threaded insert to screw the bar end into but the right side (throttle side) doesn't, it's hollow inside. What am I missing, where do I get it?

 

You're missing the bar weight insert piece from the right clip-on Smack Doogle. It has to be removed to install the Throttlemeister. Here's a pic of what it looks like. It just slides into the end of the handlebar and the snap ring clip locks in place in the two little holes at the end of the handlebar.

A cycle salvage shop would probably be your best bet for finding that part Smack Doogle.
According to the Honda parts fische it doesn't look as though you can even buy the bar weight insert as an assembly. The four parts that it's made up of are all listed seperately. The price list I have isn't current,but it looks as though it would cost somewhere around $30.00 for all four parts. Ouch!
