I'd be there! That is Memorial Day weekend. If the weather is nice, count on lots of traffic and lots of Harleys.

I am in NYC and I never waste my time at Bear Mountain. I would do some road and go somewhere for a reason. Memorial Day weekend is a holiday weekend with a lot of stuff going on and lots of traffic and cops giving tickets. I will be at a rally or at the ride to the Wall in D.C. and also plan to hit some shore and check some T & A on the beach - I am a biker/rider!!! I also have some track dates coming up so I do not have to wate time going to a nowhere place like Bear Mountain. Lot of good riding on the road so Bear Mountain is a joke and waste of time and gas especially on a Holiday weekend.

Tell us what you really think, Emon! Just kidding. bro.

Bear Mountain may not be the best, but what about the camaraderie? You don't HAVE to tear it up every time. I always look forward to meeting new people and just BS'ing, even if the roads aren't the best. Although on a Holiday Weekend, it probably would be wise to stay away.

As far as I know, the week after (June 5th, 6th) still looks good for me. Keep us posted, 02. Thanks!

I for one have never been there and will be riding in from MASS and it is more about the roads to get there and meeting a few NY and NJ riders there as well.
I'm sure our local member will bring us to the good roads in that area to ride around after meeting up w/ others at bear mtn.
Pliskin see if you can get dino and some other NJ guys to meet up w/ us.

I will gladly join the next ride. Plistkin invited me to the local rides a couple of months ago but I excused myself due to my relatively limited experiences with the VFR. I rode it about 1,000 miles since I got the bike in Feb and feel more comfortable with it now. I guess that I am pretty much ready to meet nice new folks around the area.

I also agree with comments above to avoid the Bear Mountain Park in long weekends. Seven Lakes Drive becomes bumper-to-bumper traffic during holiday weekends. Week after should be fine. Bear Mountain is just 10 minutes away from my house so it became my favorite riding place. I guess I know every back road and hiking trails in the park.

June....first weekend. I'd be in for that....despite all the LEO,Hardly's and dykes on hooligan bikes.....only place you get to see that kinda' shit is on Seven Lakes Drive. Pil's right if you know it's gonna' be a slow ass ride then so be it. Even I can slow down for a few hours for some comic relief. Let's hope it's warm. It's nice when it's warm. Women get naked when it's warm.

100_1955.jpg Home of the Bisexual hooligan chics on naked bikes. No shit.
100_1966.jpg The views are worth it.....depsite the Harly show.

    Kev,

I'm in for a June ride. Bi hooligan chics on naked bikes sounds like a great way to spend the day.

I should be in, sounds like fun. I've never been out to those roads either so it will be good to check them out.

Sorry for the confusion, my bad - I was thinking of somewhere else on the 6/5 or 6/6 ride, then bear Mountain on the 19th. I've never been, but I totally agree, I don't need to see it twice in a month lol. Seems a few might be in for 6/5 or 6/6 - any ideas as to where? I'm up for pretty much any good back road fellas.
