    This happened last Tuesday 11-12-13.
My bike died unexpectedly while riding on the freeway and left me clueless as to what the problem might be. Besides the fact that I'm as dumb as I look, I have a very limited knowledge of mechanic in general, and electric and electronics problems are better left to the experts .

The next day, scubalong helped with troubleshooting, ideas, links, and after work, he was ready to come over to help me and bring a manual. OOTV sent me a video on how to gain access to the fuse panel.

Gas was no issue, I knew I had at least half a tank left. Main wire harness recall had been taken care of. Battery test showed 12.8 volts. Headlights came on when the key was turned on, but completely went off when I pressed the starter button. System check completed every time I turned the key to "on". The fuel pump didn't prime at all and among all the troubleshooting steps, that was pretty much the focus along with the fuses.

A friend of mine came over to help, we checked the fuses, which were fine. Looked for loose connections, crimped wires, burnt wires, unplugged the sidestand switch in case it was faulty. We thought we were onto something when we found out there was no juice going into the fuel pump, but were unable to trace it back because we didn't have the schematics. We decided there was nothing else we could do, and since I was due at work early the next day, my friend agreed to do some research online and try to find the schematics for me.

Just when I was getting ready to leave the bike alone, scubalong sent me a text message letting me know he would be on his way soon.

I took a couple of steps back, looked at the bike as if asking for feedback, and just like if the bike spoke back to me, my eyes came to a stop at the killswitch. Flipped it, turned the key on and the bike rewarded me with a big engine growl and enlightened my ears with its beautiful V-4 symphony.

Called scubalong and OOTV and proved to them how stupid I am.
I'm not going to excuse or justify what happened, but at the time the bike stalled, I had my hands at the handlebars as I was merging from the #1 lane to the #6 lane. How did I managed to reach over to the killswitch without noticing is beyond me.
