I subscribe to BIKE magazine. I love it. Great articles, and great tests.

They had an article in the last issue of 2011 regarding All-Round Genius bikes that do it all. They listed 25 of them, and I thought I'd scan the last page and share it with y'all here.

The Magazine also has a test of a used 5th gen.

    Enjoy.

I'm sure everyone on this site would agree with this. When I started looking for a new bike for commuting, both my friend and I thought about which bike would be best suited as an all around great bike...we both thought of the VFR too!

It's amazing how many riders I meet who know/heard nothing about VFR's.

Just finished reading the entire magazine. Great issue.
I'd recommend this mag to everyone.
(This months issue of BIKE has a huge section devoted to the "HRC Legends")

Was the Suzuki Bandit mentioned in the article?

Yes, the Bandit lineup was in the top 25 of the "All Rounders" article.

It's great to see that the VFR is still being recognized as a great bike. Even though we don't have the 800 any more here in the US, from another thread, it is still being made for other countries. Why on earth can't we get it here then?

I would guess that it is because it quit selling. I picked up my 2008 in September of this year as a leftover at the dealer.

    I had a 600 and a 1200 Bandit. They are great bikes.
