    Gday,
What damage if any would have been done when my bike fell over in transport?
The straps broke and it was 4 hours before the truck driver found it on its side.
When I started the bike it blew Black smoke so I turned it off after 15 seconds.
    Thanks
    Jeff

Shouldn't be too much of an issue unless you tried to start it instantly after picking it up.. what has happened is the oil normally in the sump has moved elsewhere... Personally I would have spun the engine over with the plugs out, however you didn't so my as well run it now anyway. the smoke will go. You need to get the bike hot. It will take a little while

No engine damage could occur but some oil probably drained into the airbox through the breather pipe, and that is what is being burned off now.
