This sounds very tempting. I can hear wifey saying it now...."You really have been a good boy for the past few weeks. What are you up to ??"

    Regards,
    Rollin

Roger that, Benjammer. Yeah, we're a little soggy here as Hannah blows by offshore. Fay was much worse week before last. It's a good time to be bench racing...indoors.

I Googled this festival to check out the other talent, and it appears Alligator recording artist Michael Burks is also on the bill. Anyone going should really make it a point to NOT miss his act if at all possible. He's appeared at the Jax Beach Springing the Blues festival several times over the years. A true blues guitar master! Wish I could make it out, 'cause I know there are some mui tasty roads in the Ozarks. Alas, time, distance, and finances dictate otherwise.

I'll be there on the viffer in spirit, though.

Don't worry, I'll take lots of pictures. Be careful out there on I-95 and especially JTB!

Hey Everyone!! I have added some lame photos to my album. I had forgotten I had the camera until late Saturday evening...don't ask. The pix are of some choppers and custom paint jobs.
The whole week was a blast. I rode the Ozark twisties (500 miles in two days) and met people from all over the place. A lot of sport bikes and tons of Harley/cruiser types, sadly no VFRs. It was really cool to see all these people enjoying the playground that I proudly claim as my backyard.
I would highly recommend that you folks mark it on your calender for next year. The riding is great, the atmosphere is festive and BenJammer and I need some viffer folks to help represent. Maybe Jammer has some better pix.

    Later

    Lear

I agree with Lear's statement above. The whole week was a blast. Each day leading up to the event there were more and more motorcycles on the road. Most were Harleys, but there were lots of Goldwings, BMW's, and sportbikes. I only saw one '06 Red VFR being driven by someone in their early 50's. As always it seems, he was going in one direction and me the other. It was fun just to get out and ride and represent the VFR community!
I found out that I do not like being in a pack of Harley's at a red light. I couldn't hear my own bike!! I almost embarassed myself by chocking down at an intersection because I couldn't judge how much gas to give the bike while letting off the cluth. I got to meet Billy Lane from Choppersinc, and saw the OCC Bikes that are being produced for the public. All had a Retail Price from about $32,000 up to $40,000. This was my second year going, and once again, Honda didn't have any demo bikes to ride. I'll give Kawasaki, Yamaha, Victory, & Harley credit, because they always (here at least) have all their bikes to demo, but I have yet to see Honda do that. At the Yamaha Tent they had the new VMAX. That bike is a beast! I didn't get as many pics as I liked, but I'll share with you the ones I have.

Hey Benjammer and Lear...I was out with my 08 VFR for Bikes Blues, but never saw any others either. I spent most of my time on Hwy 71 between West Fork and Mountainburg and then a couple of trips on Hwy 16.

Where do you guys usually ride?

I usually ride hwys 23, 74, 21. I go into Missouri alot, hwys 90, 265, 86, 112, F. It just depends on how much time I have and my mood. I would enjoy riding with another viffer or two if we could get Jammer, you and me together one afternoon.
