My ancient Joe Rocket boots bought the farm this weekend. Any suggestions on sportbike boots?

I'm size 11 eee. I've been looking at Alpinestars SMX 3. I don't want to go over $250.00:juggle:

I wear an earlier version of Sidi's B-Two boots and love them, I'm about a size 11 too. Yes, they squeak when you walk but a little silicone spray on the back once a year takes it all away. I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $200.

Thanks. I'm a real d-d-dee when it comes to boots, unless they are cruiser style. Those Joe Rockets took 4 years of sustained abuse, but I don't think that they were made very well!

Try out New enough.com they have some great deals on top of the line models. I just pick up a pair of Sidi from them way nice... Good folks too. as a preview to some of the stuff they have, they also have an E-bay store, thats how I found them.

I just got some alpinestars smx-4 I think. they were less than 200. they aren't wonderful, but they aren'tbad. I just can see spending any more than that for riding boots.... I think my foot is a pretty standard width, though. I bought them on ebay and that cost included shipping so I was happy enough with it... here's the link to the auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=230033142890&rd=1,1

in case you want to look at them. I actually ended up buying a 11.5 since I got mixed up on the euro sizing so mine are a little too big, but I figure I can wear thicker socks on cold days. :)

Garne boots have been great fit, completley waterproof including 3000 miles Texas to Maine last May in cold rain. Superfeet innersole is a good upgrade. A zipper failed but velcro closed boot and Garne replaced no charge after a year and 11000 miles of daily use. Under 200 dollars . Comfortable, good protection, especially at shin and ankle, waterproof, look good in a reserved black way - a really good value.
