Ive been searching for a while and can only find the wattage 5/21w but cannot find the actual bulb I need to replace one of my brake and running lights.

Anyone know off the top of their head?

I think the bulb you are looking for is a #3157. As I recall, that is the kind of bulb I used in my 2000 VFR when I replaced the bulbs. Should be able to pick them up at just about any auto parts store. Tell the clerk at the store what you are looking for just to make sure, but I'm fairly certain that you need a #3157.

NO no no no no. Tail bulbs for a 6th gen are 7443. If I remember correctly they're all the same, tail/brake and all the turn signals.

I have all your answers! The tail/brake bulbs (2) are indeed 7443. After months of research and trial and error, I finally found a perfect LED 7443 bulb. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001FCPZLG/ref=pe_175190_21431760_M3T1_ST1_dp_1 They are brighter than a stock bulb for both tail and brake light. After more than a year on my VFR, they still work perfect. (I found that stock bulbs from any brand would die in about 1 year)

As for the license plate light, it uses a #67 bulb. It's kind of rare and hard to find, so again I researched an LED alternative and found this http://www.amazon.com/Classy-Autos-22-SMD-Backup-Reverse/dp/B0050OX07Q Turns out that a 67 bulb has the same base as an 1156. And this flat LED 1156 bulb works perfect. Fits just fine, nice color, not too bright. Been running it for almost a year with no problems.

    That is great! Thanks!

40 bucks is a lot of LEDs, but I guess if they never burn out it pays for itself.

Nice to see another CO rider.
