Just putting out a feeler to see if any British Columbia riders would be interested in meeting some of Washington riders at Mt. Baker for a day of fun this year. It's a perfect half way point for a meet up and Baker is is one of the best and most scenic rides in Washington...

I'm still down for this ride as long as there's around four B.C. riders, when this thread was started I was thinking around July or August (might even work it out when Reg is up here) and was going to try to coordinate around Jason Smith schedule...

Guess we will just have to watch this thread for a few days see what happens. Given the time of year, I was more targeting the locals from LMD of BC. It would be expecting a bit much of you to meet us for a day ride from Oregon. BTW, wife and I will be down the Oregon/Washington coast with a fifth wheel and diesel pusher this June. I'm told it is just grand there. She's made it perfectly clear that the bike thing is my own thing. Don't know if that is good or bad. Bed time!

If you are not riding now, you are missing out. Has been cold during the morning commute from Chilliwack to Surrey at 03:00 (-4 C)but really nice during the 15:00 return commute (12 - 14 C.). Sure glad the fluffy white sh*t has gone.

Question to you more experienced...A valve job nromally needed around 45,000 KM. Mine's an '06 VFR with all hwy. k's. Have driven it fast but not hard. Have always burned mid grade fuel, never ethanol added. The shop is suggesting I do this next service and sounds like a pretty penny. 8 hours @ $80. per.

Sorry Chomper. Didn't intend to push the Baker thing this early. Of course I will bow to the more experienced. I commute every day to work on the bike to Surrey from the Whack, through the winter as well so now how a bit of frost and black ice can make the ole' anal lips pucker up. Ran into some both Sunday and Monday mornings. Last week in Fort Langley the fog in -3 weather turned to ice on the road. "bout piddled a couple times. Yep we will have to get a few together for Saturday or Sunday ride. My week-ends off are now coming up.

July or August sounds good, would also be great to see Reg there as well. I appreciate you trying to work around my schedule RW but be warned though it's whacked. Once we get close and maybe dredge up a few more soles lets throw some dates around and see what works for all. I'll be sure to get my Sargent seat by then, maybe it can be the maiden Sargent seat voyage.

I've been called crazy and nuts but not iron man rider. The wife is not happy with it but the adrenaline keeps the mind young even though the body gets old.

I am about to jump on the steed now so see ya.
