Call me a dope, but I broke the pulser ring on my '05 VFR today while changing the front tire. A new ring for the '05 is $133 and is a cast iron piece. I read somewhere that the later model pulser rings where cheaper, so when I checked out the pulser ring for the '08 it was $24. Has anyone succeeded in swapping these out? Would my old pickup work or do I need a new one? From what I can tell from the schematics, the bolt pattern looks to be the same.

The front wheel on Super Tex's bike came with a ring and I took it off and I am pretty sure I chucked in his box of spare parts. PM him and see if he will send it to you.

I sucked it up and bought the new ring. I decided that I didn't want my ABS to fail at a critical time because I wanted to save a couple of bucks. I'll just have to remember to pull the pulser ring before changing the tire next time.
