Hello friends I have a few questions for you tomorrow I'm going to buy my first motorcycle vf 500f but it has problems for me with carburetors not ridden for 5 years, but occasionally started.Problem the next when i start it and it works well until it warms up then starts to rise rpm and moisturizing plugs.is it a complicated repair, and whether I can buy it, it would be nice if someone can help me. THANK YOU
Your carburetors are likely dirty and some of the circuits are clogged and will need cleaning. Go read this and look at the photos. Get a copy of the factory service manual. Don't remove the metal plate at the bottom of the airbox from the carbs--it is not necessary, not the correct procedure, and will result in huge problems for you. http://vfrworld.com/forums/mechanics-garage/22449-cleaning-carbs.html?highlight=cleaning+carbs
