California Lane-splitting laws

    Well, it looks like it's one step closer to becoming law. I don't usually split at higher speeds and 15MPH over seems reasonable. I think the big benefit here is that there it will end the argument about it. Cagers can no longer claim it's not legal and though there will still be the occasional A-hole that tries to prevent it, I think overall it's a good thing. What do you guys think?

    It's great to see that lane splitting may become law in CA. Since motorcycle dudes have been doing it for years, anyway, what are the actual benefits other than the obvious? ie now tickets can be issued for speeding but can a cager be cited for being an asshole and blocking the lanes or keeping his door open or worse?

    No anecdotes on this one pliz..
