Hello Friends - new to the VFRWorld forum, and have enjoyed reading through a number of threads. I currently ride an 84 Nighthawk 700S and before that I spent 5 years on Victory Kingpin. I have always loved the look and feature of the VFR800 and rode one yesterday for the first time. I felt like I was doing a push up the entire time though, my hands were hurting and my back was not comfy. A friend of mine who used to ride a 98 VFR suggested I look into Heli Bars. I can see the advantage of the extra up and back - but not sure if it would make a large enough difference.

Would love to sit on your bike if you have Heli Bars? Or if anyone can offer their opinion, that would be great too!

    Thanks much!

When just sitting on a bike, one must pump both levers, twist the throttle and make vroom-vroom sound to enjoy the full effect of this sharing experience. This is SOP on any new VFR that Honda issues.

Nope. don't drink, smoke or chew. I do keep up with the CA news especially when fire season starts and real estate wolves keep selling land in those arroyos and canyons along the coast for miles and damn near every year some nutcase either by design or accident starts a fire. The fires spread in the Satana winds. BTW, these winds are most of the time called Santa Ana Winds.. Santa Ana was the Mexican General most famous for his taking of the Alamo. Also keeping it vehicle oriented, the place of the worlds first "legal" drag strip in the 1950's now long gone. Santa Ana, Ca is now a bastion of Republicans still hoping that the popular and electoral votes were wrong and praying that the new next door neighbors will not have Spanish surnames.

    Se habla espanol..

The "Satana Winds" translated means "Winds of Satan" or Devil Winds.

    Did you look up NOMEX?

Whoops! Just kidding about that Norcalboy prize. That is just too mean..;)
