I got a '85 vf700f in great condition just needs a little bit of work, but the carbs look like they haven't been touched in years. The moving parts are a little stiff and I was wondering if the best thing to do is dunk them in some carb cleaner. Is swapping them out for the carbs off my '84 out of the question? Thanks.

If the carbs on your 84 are good I would run with that.

"just dunk them in carb cleaner"

    I don't think so.

Better know what you are doing.
