I wonder if those two headers are the same? One is a OEM Honda part and the other one is a new aftermarket part. I would guess the OEM Honda part would be heavier then the aftermarket part. I thought the OEM part was $187, but now it went up. There might be difference's in how well each header flows too. I did see someone claim the OEM catless header with power commander and slip-on made 109HP! That s a huge improvement. But you have a good point-I like chrome headers better too, so $300 isn't really that bad price. I all ready bought a 2 bro slip-on and plan on getting a power commander later on, so a catless header might be fun later on.:flame:

I did a little more research on headers with cats in them and without cats. Looks like the cat weighs about 3 pounds and does flow pretty well and does do one thing really well-keep the noise down. So I think for now the way to get a bit more power is though tuning with the headers with the cat-adding a free flowing air filter-only with a power commander-because it will lean out the engine and a good slip-on. I already have a great slip-on to put on-the carbon 2 bros. It looks like the best header is the motad-not Devik. A gutted stock header might also be a good option. But I think a lot could be done with a power commander-your going to need one for sure if your changing the exhaust flow. You need more fuel to make more power-no way around that-run to lean and you risk the engine. 1.I am going to add a slip-on first-the 2 bros carbon-without a free flowing air filter because I want all the fuel I can get without a power commander.2. Then add a powercomander and free flowing air filter see what that does. 3. Then maybe next year add a Motad set of headers. I think changing things a little at a time helps in not screwing things up!:loco::chairshot:

I have a 5th gen catless header with the TBR stash and an air filter all sorted with a PCV and autotune module. How much HP? Who knows but it rides well. Im also up one tooth on the front sprocket for better cruising on the highway. Lots O mods for sure and all to make it the way I want it.

From the looks of it only the motad headers are a true tuned HP Header. The OEM and dev are a cruzing style Header. I thing a great exhk:gun3:ust makes a big difference in over all riding and fueling would be just as important-maybe more. I got a great start I think-the Tbros carbon is a single can system and it looks like it works better than two cans, now when I get around to it I will add a power commander and high flow air filter-the last part would be a catless header. I think doing the easy stuff first and then the harder stuff later. I all ready have too much to add,so I am not buying anymore stuff till I actually get what I have working. It hitting 40 degrees ,so soon I will get a plate and start riding and getting bugs out a little at a time.
