I need to make a decision on what chain lube to use on my 6th gen RWB. You can help!

Take your camera (phones) and post a picture of your chain. State the brand & mileage on the chain, and most important : the type of lube used on the chain.

I will award trophies for first through third and an honorable mention for the most creative chain photo (this is a VFR-rated thread, so chains must be attached to a VFR).

    :first:
    :second:
    :third:

(yes, these are the actual trophies)

    Good luck!

(nozzle, nozzle family members, and employees of nozzle enterprises are not allowed to win. Contestants are encourage to attempt to influence the judging. Judging will take place on 21 July 2007 after the Laguna Seca MotoGP is complete)

I like Bel-Ray Superclean. It looks white on the chain, but won't sling off at all. It doesn't work very well on the lighter, however. It gets all over the inside of my pocket.:pound:

Here's my take on the subject WD40 for cleaning and maxima chain wax with a shot of this Dupont lube now and then.

    Safety and your Chain

Eddie apparently enjoys Dark Ages renactments and wants to see more chain mail. Help him out with your photos.

If you are not doing regular chain maintenance, you should. Take time today to spray it and use your camera phone to take a picture... you'll likely make Eddie & RVFR feel much more secure in their obsessive chain cleaning disorder

Only three more days until judging starts. Reg's rustic theme looks strong in the early running.

I created a custom mount for my Dupont Teflon Chain Lube that's how much I like it. I used double sided tape to stick it to the swingarm with the red tube angle just right to spray the chain while on the center stand. Saves room while packing for trips and serves as a constant reminder to lube 'er up. I don't have an actual photo but here's the general idea.

How did you know I was building a chain mail riding suit out of motorcycle chain? It's getting a little heavy, but I think it'll be worth it in a crash.:der:

Well, I guess I'll have to find a hot babe flashing a lot of cleavage with a chain around her neck holding a can of my ProHonda HP chain lube.

Dude, that would be sophomoric to use a scantilly clad vixen  to influence the judging... But the ProHonda HP lube can and what it looks like on the chain would.

    Results

To avoid any NBA like judging fiascos and in the spirit of transparency in contests, I have attempted to include the judging sheet as an image file.

    Congrats to :
Eddie: :first: with an amazing 87%!!
RVFR: :second: just taking 2nd with 74%
two4one: :third: with 71% - more attention to detail by 241 might have changed things.
    Reg71: earned my honorable mention

MD: Thanks for playing, hope you had fun.

Hopefully this type of quality contest will continue to distinguish VFRWorld.com as a unique motorsports web destination.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of those involved, the Army, who taught me the importance of not just cleaning, but polishing every tiny detail.
And, the judge, who has put forth an amazing grading system. I am humbled by this honor:humble: . And look foreward to the next challenge. This trophey :first: will look great in my virtual trophey case. :whoo:

Oh, that generation score is apparently an error since you have a 5th gen VFR,not a 6th gen bike. ........

    ..........Like the judging committee
