I have just purchased an 07. I have other bikes and feel the Hanes books are useless. I like the Clymer, but seem to be only up to 05. I will get the Honda shop manual, but was wondering if the 05 was that much different that I should go ahead and get it.

The only real change that I'm aware of is that in 2006, Honda changed the rpm's at which the second set of valves open up (I believe I read 6600 rpm from 6800 rpm) and then going back to two valve operation (6100 rpm instead of 6600 rpm). This was done in an effort to make the VTEC transition smoother and avoid that dramatic kick that some on this forum have complained about; mostly as an unwanted mid-corner disruption. I imagine if you plan to do your own valve adjustments (more power to you), this may be of some concern when using a 2005 service manual.

I found a 2002-2009 factory service manual (lightly used) on eBay for $54.00. Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum!
