Anyone have a good cruise control/throttle lock on a set of factory bars on a 2006 VFR? Looking for one that works well. I could not find the factory bar size anywhere in the manual or on the internet, so I figure I will just ask around. Thanks!

I've got the NEP one installed on mine (6th Gen) and it works great.

    I've got the vista,
    the bigger one (I think)

I had to "Modify" it with a pocket knife, but it works great,
had it on for 2 years

The simple single throttle lock one is by far the cheapest and easiest to install ...

I also recommend the Throttlemeister. Although they are a bit more expensice. The look nicer and the heaver weighted bar ends actually reduced a lot of the vibration.

I can vouch for the audiovox cruise control. My uncle has one on his roadstar and it works great.(According to him,I've never ridden the thing.)
Anyway,he mounted the vacuum canister in his left saddlebag.
I was considering this cruise for myself but was wondering where the best place to mount the canister.
OKCVFR,where did you hide the vac.can?

Ding ding ding we have a winner!

Single best reason for this particular bike. Two mods in one if you ask me. If you put a set of BMW touring grips on also, the vibes are nearly gone completley.

Not used, does not need it and works just fine without it. Apparently the V4 has good vac at lower revs compared to twins and some inline fours.

Very nice but expensive compared to the Audiovox. You can pick up the Audiovox for around $99.00 shipped off of the internet and then your labor to install.

I'll try and get some pics of the Audivox installed onthe RWB and post soon.

But having used it on other bikes, I can say it works extremely well; and looks up to date, unlike, IMHO the audiovox; holds up under years of use; each kit is specific to the model bike, not a universal fit (better for those without a solid mechanical background) and their customer service when I did have an issue was excellent.

Their prices have also increased though as the US dollar has plumented.

Much better than the throttle meister though, in that it isn't affected by hills and dips, & you can resume the exact previous speed when wanted. The throttlemeister is fine in the wide open flat lands, but every where else it is just a pain.

Ya actually I am getting really interested.. would be awesome for my late night commutes home. With very few cars on the road it would stay on pretty much the whole way home...

The NEP cruis control works great. Had it on my bike for 6 months. Had it on a previous bike for a year. Always worked good. It WILL hold speed, as long as you have it adjusted properly. Tight enogh to hold, but if in an emergency, you want to be able to twist it off without having to unlock it.
