I actually didn’t know much about this even, until Y2KViffer told me about it. Cruisin for Cole is an annual bike charity ride which all proceeds go to Firefighters and emergency medical service responding units. Main cost funds new equipment, and for technical advancement of modern equipment.

According to the website and the flyers, the dude who the ride is named for was a firefighter, and part time employee of a local bike shop. He was killed from a car who ran a stop light.

I went for the bikes, the ride, the food, and the cause was a worthy one. Weather was great. ~ 300 bikes. Only lost two during the ride., one due to overheating… and the other, heh, well, he says his girlfriend kicked his right side engine cover off. Think about that for a minute…lol Ride was about 115 miles. Had two stops. We all pulled into fire stations, at each leg, I was lucky enough to be in the middle of the pack to have my bike inside the bays… cool.

    Here’s some pics.

Section one. At the local bike shop. Before we left. I met a few people. Mike, Josh, Kelly, JR (Lucky), and the guys I’ve affectionately called “The Twinky boys”.

This is the bike which the side cover was “kicked off”. This dude had LEDs, chrome pimped, wheel bling, hydraulics, stretched CBR… Guess he should have put more money into the bolts that hold that cover on aye?

And this is a wrap around starting at the tail end of the group. I started taking pics from the EAST side parking lot of the Fire station, and walked around the perimeter of the parking lot, to inside the bays, through, and back to the main road.

I'm surprised that Y2K was not there, after he told me that he stretched his viffer out 18 inches, threw a 300 series tire and all sorts of chrome on it. I know that he likes to hang out with the BLING BLING crew....lol

    Thanks for the pics!

Yeah, wifey got called into work for a few hours. Unfortunately my son is too young to ride yet. Hopefully I can get in on the next ride. Good to see at least a couple viffers represent.
