About to order a D.I.D. (DKH-004) chain & sprocket set for the '09.
Any users of this set with satisfied results? How was/is your mileage with this set?
The OEM set is now at 23,000 miles with some tight links. Thanks, Robert.

I've used them. They make the OEM chains. They are good.

Chains are typically good for 15-30k miles. Just depends on your riding style, conditions, load, and maintenance habits

That is the kit I am looking at as well. Let us know how it works. That comes with the solid metal front sprocket and does not have the rubber vibration dampener that the OEM has. Some say to go with the stock sprocket for that reason and some say they cannot tell the difference. I would be interested in what you think. Curious too,how much did you pay and where from if you don't mind me asking. Have fun.

Just put one on with super light sprockets after getting almost 38000 on my OEM gear---- not stretching that much to my surprise, guess more wheelies are in the future

I'd have to look at my maintenance records for chain mileage but on all of my current and previous bikes I've used D.I.D. chains and have never had any negative experience or poor performance/longevity.

I'd also have to look at which chain is on what bike but if memory serves me right, I now have an X-Ring on both VFRs but an O-Ring on the Ducati. I've been buying my kits through 'Sprocket Center'.

As Jeff said, how you treat a chain is relative to how long it will last. Regular cleaning/lubing and proper adjustment is key to good chain life, regardless of make/model/type.
