Ok I was heading home today and I looked down and realized my entire instrument cluster was dead. No Tac, no speedo, no nothing...the only things that are working are the turn signal indicators (and turn signals) and the clock display...the headlights are out too. This is my first VFR and its a 2004 that is stock. Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem or has any idea on how to fix it. I shut the bike off and restarted it....everything seems to be running fine....just no instrument display and no headlights  Please Help

The very first thing I would check is your fuses. I would identify which ones you need to check first just so you're not looking through the whole thing needlessly. If it just went like that I'd say fuse. If they were blinking in and out I'd say connector. If it that doesn't fix it, e-mail me and I'll download the schematics and try to troubleshoot it further for you. But I doubt it's anything serious.

Yep it all went at once so it could very likely be a fuse. Any idea were the fuse is for all the guages andheadlights?

Lol, nope. I own a '91. Not much in common with your '05. Sometimes the inside cover of the fuse box and/or the owners manual have that information. I'm new to this iste so I'll dig around a bit and see what I can find.
