    Hi there,
Just doing spring cleaning on a bike I've owned since last year. Noticed the chain doesn't appear to have a master link, nor are all pins identical. This one is split. Have ridden a few thousand KM and it was in the shop to have brakes re-done, steering head and leaky shock replaced. I assume this is normal, but would rather ask. Thanks in advance if you can confirm this style is entirely safe. Needs to be tighted a bit, but otherwise in good shape.

That’s the riveted link used instead of a split link as used on all VFRs

    Nothing to worry about there

Comes right down to it, if done correctly, it's safer than a clip-style master link.

On that topic, I realize I can research it on my own time, but sounds like this is not sold and installed as one piece? Trying to understand how I would buy and install this if it's preferable to a clip-style. Dont worry about replying - I can sniff around and find the difference instead of getting a LMGTFY reply.
