Does anyone know about the modifications necessary to install newer 17" wheels onto a 86 vfr700? I see it's very popular in Japan to convert with cbr600 or gsxr???? wheels. any ideas?
Craig, try this link: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/4249/products.html Chuck Crites is the master of this conversion and offers spacer kits to use the F2 rear wheel. Use of the front end requires you to re-use the steering stem from the VFR700 clamp; it can be pressed in and out by any machine shop. BTW, I have a set of F2 wheels, brakes, and forks if you are interested in the swap.
