dirty bars

    i am thinkin of drillin my triple to fit some risers has anyone on here done this especially to a vfr700 any insight would be helpful my big concern is the honda emblem making the triple weak when drilled.

    ride naked! its cooler.

    i think make a copy or get a machinist to make a new triple tree top but it probably should have no problem as long as u use stuff like washers and its not a critical structural area

    (drill through the thin areas that not ribbed i guess)
    either way lets see pics

    I would be careful mounting risers to the top clamp. It is probably not designed to withstand the leverage you will apply with handlebars mounted directly.

    yeah, he got me with that one too when I saw 'dirty bars' in the new threads list. I was getting ready to take notes on where to go when everyone gets here in Apr!

    sorry for the name of the thread i was tryin to get responses just not the ones i got. so nobody has drilled trees????????????? oh well i guess theres a first for everything. lol
