Elk Grove/Sacramento CA Group Rides Summer 2011

Hey all, just wanted to let everybody know, I sometimes lead a group of people from the Elk Grove suburb of Sacramento on a few local trips that hit some of Pashnit's Northern California best roads, including a 5-6 hour trip north into the canyons surrounding Auburn and Pollock Pines and a 7-8 hour trip North-East to Lake Tahoe and back via the smaller highways. If anyone is interested, please feel free to reply or PM for more information!

Some quick information: Usually the trips are smaller groups, quite often just myself but sometimes 2 or 3 additional people. We like to have fun in the twisties but as a group leader I strongly discourage knee dragging and triple digit speeds - as fun as they may be, this is a group situation and the safety of the group has to remain a priority. We are all usually on Sport tourers, super-sport tourers, and hyper-sport tourers, but the trips are open to anyone with a bike, M1 license or permit and gear. I recommend full gear as a group leader but am OK if you have full coverage clothing, closed-toe footware and a DOT and/or SNELL Helmet. (If you cannot meet these requirements but would still like to ride feel free to contact and we can try to work something out!)
Finally I always ride trading point and sweep positions with someone that I know and have ridden with at least a few times, and maps of the route and the group leader's contact info is always given out at the meeting point in case we lose someone. Beyond the safety and route this is a group experience, we're all here to have fun and enjoy ourselves so we as a group decide where we would like to meet, stop, tank up, eat, rest, explore, etc. No man left behind!

This sounds interesting though it might be a little out of the way for me. I would be interested in the Tahoe trip definitely.
