My first thread! OK, here's my situation. I live in Delaware and have a feeling my VFR is not going to pass the "noise" part of the emissions testing due at DMV in July. I have a slip-on Two Brothers shotgun exhaust on the 97 and I know I am close to having to repack the pipes. They are not LOUD, but a good friend of mine said he really questions if they will make it throught the inspection. He had a full Muzzy system on his Kawasaki ZX7, and he said it failed. So if any of you live in Delaware and have faced this issue or you faced the issue in your home state: What did you do? Buy a stock pipe off e-bay, etc.? I spoke to Two Brothers and they said that even with a re-pack on those pipes its only going to quiet them down a little. So if I barely fail, then a re-pack will solve it. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks Everyone:smile: BZ
maybe you can find someone close to you that will let you borrow the stock ones for a few days. I still have my stock pipe even though I've never had it on the bike. I think about getting rid of it often, but then I see a thread like this... Hope CA doesn't implement this crap...
Thanks reg! I checked around, and I received information that not all the DMV's in De enforce the noise standard, so I am going to try and sneak through them first and see what happens. Also, the guy I have work on my bike said he can fabicate something and try and get me through. He said he does it all the time. So we'll see! Also I am watching e-bay for a stock pipe too. Thanks again!
