I have this intermittent fault where the engine cuts out (or doesn't start), and the FI light comes on. I had it at the bike shop, but the fault didn't occur. And when it does, the light never stays on long enough for them to plug in the diagnostic gizmo. It only happens at idle or low speed - once she's running it's all fine. So I can't find the fault because there's no fault history recorded - and when the light goes out it resets! It's been suggested it may be the side-stand switch. Any thoughts, or similar experiences? My ride is a 2010/11 VFR800. Cheers
Ground problems would cause that on the older bikes. Low fuel pressure causes an FI light without a fault code on the older bikes too.
