Does anyone know where to purchase a Factory Pro jet kit for a 1984 VF700F? I have looked online and have not found them listed anywhere, not even on Factory Pro's website. I was only able to find listings for the 500 and 1000. Thanks in advance

If you know which jets & needles you need, Factory Pro will make a kit for you. Just call them & tell them what you want.

If not, my local Honda Dealer has needles, jets, pilots, etc in stock all the time.

    KC-10 FE out...

Ok but Im not sure what sizes I need. Right now the bike has Yoshi slip-ons and a K&N filter but I might change to individual filters if I can get a jet kit that will support them.

Well I just talked to a guy at Factory Pro and he said they could not make a kit for the 1984 vf700f unless they had the bike. They would need to try different setups out on the dyno so they could figure out what it needs. He also said that he didnt have a record that they ever sold a kit for my bike. I was under the impression they had sold a kit for the vf700f in the past. I guess I was wrong. Anyone have any suggestions. I really don't want to have to use a Dynojet kit. Thanks

You can probably dig around and figure out what needles people have used, and then order a selection of jets, but trial-by-error with jetting carbs is going to be a lot of work...

Maybe try googling for vf500 jet size setups...

Or seeing if you can find out what size jets are in a dynojet kit, and which of their needles, and calling up Factory Pro and asking for their needles/jets in those sizes.

Unless you replace the entire exhaust system and use an freer-flowing air filter, you should not need to change jets.

However, if you experience rough running issues, go up one size on the slow and main jets. This should help out.

The bike has yoshi slip-ons and a K&N filter. It runs good, idles normal, no bogging or dead spots. It will pop or backfire very loudly occasionally on decelleration though. It seems to me the fueling could be a little better.
